Extend is a national child care provider. We provide our services in NSW, VIC, QLD, ACT, SA and WA. Currently, we are experiencing a COVID-19 alert in Sydney and across areas of regional NSW.
In Sydney and regional NSW affected by restrictions
We remain able to open by agreement with our school partners. In our services we are practicing social distancing as much as possible. We have strict hand hygiene in place. Children wash their hands on arrival, before and after eating, and every thirty minutes. Educators also wash their hands every thirty minutes. We serve a specially designed COVID-safe menu. Cleaning and disinfecting in the services remains a priority.
You may see our Educators wearing masks, even though primary school Educators are not required to do so while teaching. Please support our Educators who have made the responsible choice to wear a mask. We are pleased to encourage them to do so in order to keep them and our families safe.
We follow the advice of NSW Health and the NSW State Government.
· Educators are asked not to attend work if they have any symptoms of COVID-19. As per Government guidelines, they are asked to get tested and isolate until they get their results.
· Educators who have been to the Tier One exposure sites are asked not to attend work and to get tested and isolate for 14 days as per government guidelines.
· Educators who have been to the Tier Two exposure sites are asked not to attend work and to get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.
Across the rest of Australia, we remain vigilant in our hygiene management in the services, with social distancing, strict hand hygiene as per Greater Melbourne, and cleaning and disinfecting the services.
Throughout this pandemic, the health and safety of our children, families and staff has been our top priority.
